Robin McMillion grew up in journalism. Her parents owned a newspaper, where she worked as a child.
Robin spent a year and a half in Europe after college. She was teaching Spanish in Houston when her nephew escaped from an international cult and came to the U.S. for the first time. Overnight, she went from being a single mother of two to a single mother of three: her own children, plus her culture-shocked and traumatized nephew.
Robin volunteers on a voter assistance hotline in Texas and as an editor for a non-profit journal in Washington. She lives in Austin.
