Literary Titan Book Award Winner

Robin McMillion grew up in journalism. Her parents owned a newspaper, where she worked as a child.

Robin spent a year living and working in Europe after college. She was teaching Spanish in Houston when her nephew escaped from a cult and came to the U.S. for the first time. Overnight, she went from being a single mother of two to a single mother of three: her own children, plus her culture-shocked and traumatized nephew.

Robin volunteers on a voter assistance hotline in Texas and as an editor for a non-profit journal in Washington. A member of the Writers’ League of Texas, she lives in Austin.
